Dutton Park detectives this morning charged a 37-year-old Annerley man with two counts of armed robbery following investigations into robberies at Highgate Hill and Yeronga.

On May 14 a man allegedly armed with a syringe stole groceries from a Gladestone Road, Highgate Hill convenience store and on May 12 a man allegedly armed with a metal bar and a syringe stole cash from a Fairfield Road, Yeronga convenience store.

No one was physically injured during the robberies and the man is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning.

Upper Mount Gravatt detectives continue their investigations into an armed robbery of a Holland Park grocery store on May 13, where a man allegedly armed with a syringe stole cash.
