Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred this evening in Currimundi.

Around 7.30pm a man entered a Nicklin Way pharmacy armed with a knife.

He demanded cash and a quantity of drugs from two staff members. They complied and the man fled the scene on foot.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, around 20-30 years of age, 180cm tall with a proportionate build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, camouflage print knee length shorts and sports shoes.

Investigations are continuing.
