Cairns detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a Manunda fast food outlet last night.
Around 8.30pm, a man entered the store on the corner of Alfred and Cochrane Streets armed with a knife.
He demanded cash from the male store attendant who complied, and the man fled the store with a sum of money.
The man is described as being of Pacific Islander appearance, around 180cm tall and with a solid build.
Investigations are continuing.
