Police have released an image of a man they believe can assist with their investigations into the armed robbery of a Bellmere convenience store yesterday.
Around 5.55am, a man entered the Bellmere Road store and threatened the male store attendant while claiming to have a weapon and demanding cash.
The store attendant complied and the man fled the scene with a sum of money and cigarettes. He was last seen running towards Piggott Road.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 175cms tall, with a slim build, dark brown hair and bushy eyebrows.
At the time of the offence, he was wearing a black hooded jumper with a khaki green and white “Metal Militia” logo on the front, dark grey cargo pants, and black and white sandshoes.
The attendant was not physically injured during this incident.
