Police are investigating the armed robbery of a petrol station in Mount Gravatt East this evening.

Around 5.15, a man entered the Creek Road business armed with a gun.

The man threatened a staff member and two customers, before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash.

He was last seen running north along Tarrant Street.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his late 20s, approximately 183 centimetres tall with a proportionate build and blonde hair.

He was wearing a white t-shirt over the top of a blue long-sleeved shirt, black pants, black shoes and was seen with a piece of blue fabric wrapped around his face.
