Police have charged a 33-year-old man following the armed robbery of a convenience store at Mackenzie last night.

It will be alleged just after 9.30pm, a man entered the Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road business, produced a screwdriver and made demands for cash.

The staff complied, and the man left the store on foot with a sum of cash.

A 33-year-old Loganlea man has been charged with one count of armed robbery.

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
