13 December – Arrest – Assault and Robbery – Taxi Driver – Parafield Gardens

Yesterday Transit Police have arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy from the northern suburbs following the assault and robbery of a taxi driver in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police will allege the youth was one of three teenage boys who allegedly assaulted the taxi driver on Salisbury Highway at Parafield Gardens stealing coins from the cab.

Enquiries are continuing on the identity of the other suspects.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

There were no injuries.
