Police are investigating the armed robbery of a fast food restaurant in Kempsey this morning.
About 2.30am (Monday 17 December 2012), four men armed with a rifle and a crow bar forced entry to the business on Smith Street, Kempsey and threatened two employees.
They stole a large amount of money from a safe and fled the scene in a stolen Holden Commodore, black in colour, with registration YVA631.
The four men are described as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, thin to medium build, wearing gloves, dark coloured long pants, dark coloured hooded jumpers with balaclavas, and cloth material over the bottom portion of their faces.
Specialist police attended the scene and detectives from Mid North Coast Local Area Command are conducting inquiries into the incident.
No persons were injured during the robbery.
