4 January 2013 – Armed Robbery – Service Station – Zillmere

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station in Zillmere overnight.
Initial investigations indicate just before 10pm a man entered the Murphy Road store and on approaching an employee, produced a knife and demanded cash.
On receiving a sum of money, he fled on foot in the direction of Robinson Road East and was last seen driving off in a light coloured Mitsubishi Magna on Newman Road.
At the time of the incident the offender was wearing dark coloured clothing with a black hooded jumper, sun glasses and fingerless gloves.
