Elizabeth Police are investigating the report of a shot having been fired at a vehicle following an aggravated robbery at Salisbury Heights last night.

At about 9.40pm, two people were sitting in a vehicle in the car-park of the Old Spot Hotel, Main North Road at Salisbury Heights, when a dark green Commodore with two occupants parked alongside and asked for a cigarette.

A man from the green Commodore then grabbed the victim’s handbag and then drove off, followed by the victim and her companion.

Both vehicles travelled at high speed to Canterbury Drive at Smithfield Heights, were it is believed a firearm was pointed out of the passenger side window of the green Commodore and a shot was fired in the direction at the victim’s vehicle.

At this time the victim stopped and police were called to the scene.

There were no injuries or any damage found.  A search of the area failed to find the suspect vehicle.

Elizabeth police are looking for a dark green commodore sedan, with the driver described as being a man of Pacific Islander appearance and the passenger is believed to be a Caucasian male.
