Police have charged a 38-year-old man from Tamborine Mountain has been charged with armed robbery after investigations into the robbery of a convenience store at Southport yesterday.
Police will allege that around 7.30pm a man entered the Scarborough Street shop before threatening an employee with a knife and demanding cash.
The staff member complied with his demands and the man obtained a sum of cash before fleeing the scene on foot.
The 38-year-old man is scheduled to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on February 18.
