Police have charged a 28-year-old man following three attempted armed robberies at service stations in Arana Hills and Aspley overnight.
It will be alleged around 11.10pm a man entered a service station on Dawson Parade at Arana Hills before threatening staff with a blunt implement and demanding cash. The employee refused his demands and the man left the premises.
Around 11.50pm a man allegedly produced a syringe and demanded cash from a shop attendant at a Gympie Road service station at Aspley. The employee moved to a back room and the man left the scene.
It will further be alleged around 12am a man threatened a staff member with a syringe at an Albany Creek Road service station at Aspley. The attendant refused his demands for cash and the man fled the scene.
Police charged a 28-year-old Everton Hills man with three counts of attempted armed robbery and he will appear in the Pine Rivers Magistrates Court today.
