A quick response from police patrols led to the arrest of a young woman following an attempted break-in at a western suburbs bowling club overnight.

At about 3.20am, police received a call from a neighbour reporting suspicious behaviour at the Novar Gardens bowling club on Anzac Highway.  At the same time, alarms at the clubrooms activated.

The attending patrol found a broken window; however, it doesn’t appear that entry was gained to the premises.  Police searched the surrounding area with the assistance of a police dog and located the woman nearby.

The 18-year-old Glenelg North woman was arrested and charged with being unlawfully on premises.  She was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 4 April.

Enquiries are continuing to identify the young man and woman also seen by witnesses at the bowling club.
