3 March 2013 – Assault – Hotel – Bondi Junction

A man has suffered facial fractures after being hit with a bar stool at a hotel in Bondi Junction last night.

Police were called to a hotel in Ebley Street at 11.50pm yesterday (Saturday 2 March) after the 42-year-old man suffered multiple fractures to his eye socket after allegedly being struck by a fellow drinker.

The Bronte man is being treated at St Vincent’s Hospital.

After speaking with staff and viewing CCTV, police went to a home in Birrell Street, Bondi Junction, and arrested a 33-year-old man.

He was taken to Waverley Police Station where he was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear in Waverley Local Court on 26 March 2013
