A man has been arrested following the alleged armed robbery of a fast food outlet in Harlaxton over night.

Around 10.10pm a man entered the Griffith Street store and allegedly threatened the female staff member with a knife while making demands for money.

He fled on foot with a sum of cash.

A police Dog Squad unit tracked a scent from this location to a nearby residence. Police conducted an emergent search of the residence and located a man who allegedly had rolls of coins and other cash in his possession.

A 19-year-old man was charged with one count of robbery with violence whilst armed. He remains in custody and is due to appear before Toowoomba Magistrates Court later this morning.
