4 March 2013 – Armed Robbery – Tavern – Ormeau

Police are searching for two men following an armed robbery this morning at a tavern at Ormeau on Brisbane’s south side.
Two men entered the Burnside Road tavern about 9:15am armed with handguns and wearing blue overalls and dark stockings over their heads and hands.
They ordered a staff member into an office and demanded he open the safe. The offenders stole a sum of money and left in a blue 4WD.
The staff member wasn’t physically injured.
The men are described as short, in their mid to late twenties and spoke with a New Zealand accent.
Police investigations are continuing.
