Police in Sydney’s south-west are hunting a man and woman following the armed robbery of a bottle shop at Lansvale.
The pair entered the business, which is located on the Hume Highway, about 5pm yesterday (Thursday 7 March 2013).
The man walked behind the counter and threatened the male cashier with a sharp metal object.
The cashier opened the cash register and the man took out an amount of cash.
The woman, meanwhile, took two bottles of alcohol from a shelf.
Both offenders then fled the shop. A witness told police they left in a black-coloured Toyota sedan.
No-one was injured during the incident.
Police from Cabramatta Local Area Command are investigating and would like to speak with a man and woman who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 30s, about 190 cm tall, and with a slim build.
The woman is described as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance, aged in her 30s, about 160cm tall, and with a large build.
