Police are appealing for public assistance in relation to a skimming device believed to have been attached to an ATM in Fairfield.
The device is believed to have been installed on a stand-alone ATM at the front of a newsagency on Station Street.
Investigators also believe the device may have been taken on and off the ATM several times between 20 January and 10 February this year.
Customers who used this ATM have then reported unauthorised transactions occurring on their account from Ocean Grove and Mexico.
A number of instances of this happening have since been reported to police.
Detectives from Darebin Crime Investigation Unit are investigating and have images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
