Police have charged two youths after a robbery at a convenience store this afternoon at West Mackay.

It will be alleged two males entered the Keith Hamilton Street store around 1pm, with one producing a knife.

The attendant immediately sought refuge in a back office as cash was allegedly taken from the till.

The two then ran from the store.

The attendant, a 55-year-old Mackay woman, was not injured.

Two youths, a 15-year-old Andergrove boy and a 16-year-old Mount Martin boy, have each been charged with armed robbery in company and will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
