Police are investigating after a licensed premises at Crestmead was robbed by a man armed with a hammer overnight.

Shortly after midnight a man entered the Julie Street hotel and confronted staff, demanding money.

After receiving a sum of cash the man then walked from the hotel.

The attendant, a 21-year-old woman from Collingwood Park, was not physically injured.

The man is described as 195cm tall and of average build. He was wearing a black jacket, black trousers, white shoes, a black balaclava and light coloured gloves.
