Police from Leichhardt Local Area Command are investigating an armed robbery at a hotel in Sydney’s inner west last night.
About 11.35pm yesterday (Thursday 18 April 2013), police were called to a licensed premise on Parramatta Road, Camperdown, following reports of an armed robbery.
Two people entered the hotel and allegedly threatened a staff member demanding money.
Police have been told they were armed with a bat and a machete.
After taking an amount of cash from the registers they then fled.
There were a number of patrons inside the premises at the time, however no one was physically injured.
A crime scene was established which was examined by specialist officers.
Detectives are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
