29 April 2013 – Armed Robbery – Hotel – Port Kembla

Police from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel in Port Kembla tonight.

About 5.15pm, (Monday 29 April, 2013), three men, all wearing balaclava’s and one armed with a pistol, entered the Wentworth Road hotel through the front door.

Once inside, the men threatened a number of staff and patrons while demanding cash.

A sum of money was taken from the premises before the men ran out of the hotel and down Wentworth Lane

Fortunately no one was hurt during the robbery.

A crime scene has been established while detectives from Lake Illawarra, and other specialist forensic police investigate the scene.
