Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery at a Yagoona service station this morning (Saturday 11 May 2013).

About 4.40am a male employee was working at the Hume Highway premises when two heavily disguised men have entered the building.

The men threatened him with a handgun and demanded money.

After being unable to access the safe, the men left the service station with a quantity of cigarettes.

The pair ran from the store and were last seen heading towards The Avenue at Yagoona.

No shots were fired and the service station employee was not physically injured during the robbery.

The first man was described to police as being 180-185cms, medium build, wearing a black zip up jacket with a hood and a baseball cap. He was also carrying a black handgun at the time.

 

The second man was described as being of a similar height and build and also wearing similar clothing.
