Wollongong detectives are appealing for information after the robbery of a pizza delivery driver on the State’s south coast overnight.
About 9pm yesterday (Sunday 26 May 2013), a 19-year-old delivery driver went to Hopetoun Street, Woonona, to deliver an order of pizzas.
As the teenager got out of his car he was approached by three males who demanded he hand over the cash he was carrying.
One of the men allegedly punched the 19-year-old to the head before he handed them an amount of money.
The trio then fled on foot on a cycle track next to the northern distributor.
Police were called and examined the area where the robbery occurred.
Wollongong Detectives are investigating the robbery and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have information about it to come forward.
