23 May 2013 – Armed Robbery – Foodland Supermarket – Port Adelaide

Western Adelaide police have just detained a man after he allegedly robbed a Foodland supermarket at Port Adelaide.

A short time ago, the man allegedly armed with a knife jumped a supermarket counter, stole some cigarettes then ran off.

Local police patrols were quick to converge on the area and detained the man a short distance away in Canon Street. There were no injuries.  Further information will be released later when it comes to hand.
