Police are continuing to investigate the armed robbery of an adult store in which a woman was assaulted at Coopers Plains last night.

Around 6pm a man entered the Beaudesert Road store before waiting for customers to leave and threatening a female employee with a knife.

The man then punched the staff member in the head, causing her to fall to the ground before he stole cash from the employee’s purse and money from the till.

He left the store on foot a short time later.

The 51-year-old woman received medical treatment at the scene.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 183cm tall with a solid build and blonde hair. He was wearing a dark blue hooded jacket, a light blue shirt, a red baseball cap and black sunglasses.

Investigations are continuing.
