Just prior to 7.00pm on Sunday 2 June 2013 a male offender has entered the Big Bargain Bottleshop situated at Sandy Bay Road, Sandy Bay.  The business was closing at the time and the only occupant was the male shop attendant.

The offender, who was armed with a filleting type knife at the time, has demanded monies from shop attendant, and has subsequently exited the business with an undisclosed amount of cash. He is believed to have fled the scene with several other persons in a red Ford Focus sedan registration EU2046, which was stolen from a residence in Elwick Road, Glenorchy on the evening of Thursday 30 May.

No injuries were received by the shop attendant as a result of the incident.

The offender is described as being approximately 170-175cm tall, Australian accent, of slim build, wearing a light coloured hoodie jacket, a dark balaclava or scarf, dark jeans, white gloves and white sneakers.

The stolen vehicle has also been seen in the Sorell and Midway Point areas in the past three (3) days.

Hobart CIB would like to speak to anyone who may have information on the robbery or the stolen vehicle.
