Sturt CIB detectives have arrested a man wanted in relation to a theft and assault at the Royal Hotel, Torrensville last month.

Police will allege the man entered the hotel at 10.30pm on Sunday 19 May 2013 and reached behind the counter and stole an amount of cash.

He was chased by staff members and when confronted handed back some of the money before spraying the staff members with a liquid from a bottle and threatening to set them alight.

He then ran off.

Follow-up enquiries by police led to the man’s arrest and he will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 13/8/13
