A 19-year-old man has been charged with aggravated robbery following a successful extradition from NSW by ACT Policing detectives yesterday (Friday, June 14).

Police will allege the man (who was 17 years of age at the time of the alleged offence) committed the aggravated robbery at the Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club on May 28, 2011.

The man, in company with two other men, entered the golf club and threatened staff before leaving with a sum of money.

On Friday (June 14), New South Wales police arrested the man near Gosford. He then appeared before the Woy Woy Local Court where he was ordered into the custody of ACT Police by the Magistrate.

ACT Policing Criminal Investigations detectives conveyed the man to the ACT Watch House where he will face the ACT Children’s Court this morning. Police will oppose bail.
