8 June 2013 – Update – Arrest – Armed Robbery – Bank – Burleigh Waters

Police have charged a 54-year-old man after the alleged armed robbery of a bank at Burleigh Waters on Monday.

It will be alleged around 11.30am the man threatened a teller at the bank on Classic Way with a firearm before stealing a sum of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

A 54-year-old Merrimac man was charged with one count of armed robbery and will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on June 8.
