Police are investigating an attempted stealing at a fast food restaurant and the armed robbery of a convenience store in Bondi last night.

About 8:25pm, Wednesday 26 June 2013, the manager of a takeaway store on Bondi Road disturbed two men trying to steal cash from the register and drinks from the fridge.

He chased them out of the store where they were last seen running east on Bondi Road into Castlefield Street.

Moments later two men, who were armed with a knife, entered a convenience store on Bondi Road and threatened the manager.

The 26-year-old man was placed in a headlock and forced to open the register while the men stole cash and then fled the store.

About 8:30pm, police were conducting patrols of Blair Street, Bondi when they attempted to stop a silver Subaru which had been stolen during a break and enter on Penkiville Street at Bondi last weekend.

It was pursued to Albion Street in Surry Hills where officers terminated the pursuit due to the dangerous manner of driving of the stolen car.

Detectives from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command are now investigating all three incidents and believe they are linked.

They are looking for both men who have been described as wearing dark coloured hooded tops with one having a fair complexion and the other having a tanned complexion.

Police urge anyone with information about the identity and whereabouts of the two men or the stolen silver-coloured Subaru, with NSW registration BVL-30S, to come forward.
