Police are investigating the armed robbery of a service station at Eli Waters in Hervey Bay this morning.
Just after 6.35am a man entered the business on Maryborough Hervey Bay Road before demanding the staff member hand over money from the till and cigarettes.
The man indicated he was armed with a weapon at the time.
The employee complied with his demands and he fled the scene with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Investigators have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak with about the incident.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 165cm tall with brown hair and a ginger moustache.
He was wearing a white baseball cap, a black and white checked flannel shirt and blue jeans at the time of the incident.
