A teenager will face court following an armed robbery in the state’s north.

About 9.10pm yesterday (Tuesday 2 July 2013), two females armed with knives entered a fast food restaurant on Fitzroy Street, Grafton.

The pair allegedly threatened employees before stealing an amount of cash.

They then fled the store on foot.

A short time later patrolling police identified one of the girls who ran from officers before they located her again on the Grafton Bridge.

Officers tasered the teenager after she threatened self harm.

The 17-year-old was taken to Grafton Hospital for treatment for a cut to her chin before later being taken to Grafton Police Station.

She was charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon and is due to appear in Grafton Children’s Court on Monday 12 August 2013.
