A man allegedly armed with a knife threatened staff and stole cash from a hotel in Nowra earlier this week.

Police have been told the incident happened shortly after 10pm Tuesday (2 July 2013) when a man, armed with a knife, entered the hotel on Kinghorne Street.

A 19-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both employees, told police the man demanded cash.  He took cash from the till and left by the rear doors.

Police have a description of a man they believe can assist with their investigations.

He is described as being about 180cm tall with a medium build, as well as having a tanned complexion and brown eyes. His face was covered with a black and yellow bandana. At the time the man was wearing long pants and a black hooded jacket.
