Fawkner Embona have charged five people with a total of 55 offences as part of an investigation into an alleged armed robbery in Craigieburn earlier this year which left a man seriously injured.
A 30-year-old Shepparton man suffered life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident on Creighton Way on 10 April about 9.20pm.
Three men and two women were arrested by detectives after search warrants were executed at three houses in Meadow Heights and Craigieburn yesterday.
A 21-year-old Craigieburn man, a 21-year-old Meadow Heights man, a 19-year-old Craigieburn woman, a 19-year-old Meadow heights woman and a 17-year-old Craigieburn boy were all charged with armed robbery, intentionally cause serious injury, affray, assault and weapon-related offences.
The 17-year-old boy has been remanded in custody to appear at a children’s court at a later date.
The other four have all been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
