Wellington Crime Investigation Unit members are investigating a series of deceptions carried out in supermarkets in Sale, Maffra and Bairnsdale.
It’s believed a male and a female attend supermarkets and make purchases that are paid for using allegedly stolen credit card details.
In most instances the pair purchase gift vouchers and before the transaction is cancelled by the bank they purchase goods with the vouchers.
The deceptions which took place between February and April are valued around $6000.
The female is described as Caucasian, slim build with long brown hair.
The male is described as Caucasian, crew cut blondish brown hair, tall and has tattoos on both lower arms.
Police have released images of the two people they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries
