Police are investigating the armed robbery of a second hand store at Petrie today.

Around 12.30pm two men armed with a firearm and a knife entered the Anzac Avenue store before threatening staff and customers and demanding money.

A male employee complied with their demands and the pair fled the scene with a sum of cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

The first man was described as having an Australian accent while the other man was described as having a New Zealand accent.

Police investigations are continuing.
