Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Sydney’s southern suburbs.
About 1.20pm yesterday (Tuesday 9 July 2013), an male offender entered a convenience store on Willarong Road, Caringbah, and threatened a staff member with a knife before demanding money.
The store employee, aged 24, retreated to a back room and alerted police to the incident.
The offender then ran from the location without obtaining any money or property.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
Police attended the store a short time later and established a crime scene at the location.
A patrol of the surrounding area was also conducted but the alleged offender could not be located.
Police attached to Miranda Local Area Command area appealing for information and would like to speak to a male in relation to the incident.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm tall and with a thin build. At the time the male was wearing a blue, hooded jumper and grey tracksuit pants and white joggers.
