ACT Policing is investigating a series of aggravated burglaries in Belconnen earlier this morning (Sunday, July 14).

About 4.35am this morning offenders have attempted to gain entry to the Lucky 7 Handy Mart at Latham. The group were captured on CCTV running off after they were disturbed attempting to gain entry.

Around 5am police attended the Holt SPAR supermarket in response to an alarm activation. Entry to the store was gained after the offenders broke a glass panel.The group was captured on CCTV kicking in the glass panel, entering the store and stealing a quantity of alcohol before fleeing.

A short time later police were called to Liquor Legends, on Tillyard Drive, Charnwood, in response to an alarm activation.

Members from Belconnen Police Station arrived around 5.10am to find the front door to the store had been smashed. Four males wearing hooded jumpers were captured on CCTV.

One of the males was seen to be carrying a keg which was used to smash the door. The males have all entered the store, stealing a quantity of alcohol before fleeing. They were captured on CCTV running off behind the store, towards Garrad Court.

Police believe these three incidents are linked.
