Police are investigating a series of robberies at supermarkets in Darebin between 11 and 15 July.
There have been seven late morning robberies committed at supermarkets in Bundoora, Preston, Preston South, Northland and Reservoir.
At each incident, the male offender has approached the checkout attendant and asked to exchange a small quantity of cash.
When the attendant has opened the cash register, the male has pushed them aside and grab cash from the register.
The man would then run from the store and get into the passenger seat of a waiting white Holden Commodore VT sedan, displaying stolen number plate POE 530.
The incidents have occurred on:
• 11 July around 11am at the corner of Plenty Road and Grimshaw Street, Bundoora
• 11 July around 11:20am on Plenty Road, Reservoir
• 12 July around 11.15am on Dundas Street, Preston
• 12 July around 11:30am on Cramer Street, Preston
• 15 July around 9:30am on Plenty Road, Preston
• 15 July around midday on Murray Road Preston
• 15 July around 12.30pm on Plenty Road, Reservoir
Darebin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have released images of a man they believe can assist with their investigation, and an image of the car.
