A man has been taken to hospital following a glassing incident outside a hotel at Riverwood.
Shortly before 6.30pm yesterday (Friday 19 July 2013), a man outside a hotel on Josephine Street asked a 31-year-old man to buy him a drink.

For unknown reasons the man hit the 31-year-old in the face a number of times with a glass until it shattered.

Police from Campsie Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by forensic specialists.

The victim was conveyed to Bankstown Hospital for treatment to a laceration to the left side of his face.

The man has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, 30 years of age, 165-170cm tall, olive complexion and a tattoo on his chest.

Inquiries into the incident continue.
