Police are investigating the armed robbery of a bottle shop in Victoria Point earlier yesterday evening.

At around 7pm a man entered the Colburn Avenue business armed with a white coloured metal bar and demanded cash.

The man left the business with cash and alcohol.

The store attendant, a 24-year-old Victoria Point man, was not physically injured.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, around 170cm tall with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, tan three-quarter length shorts, black shoes and a red balaclava.

Regional Duty Officer, Inspector Steve Flori said, “We believe there is someone out there in the community that knows who committed this crime and we want that person to come forward.”
