A man has been charged following an alleged glassing incident at Cockle Bay Wharf this morning.
About 3.25am (Saturday 27 July 2013), a 27-year-old man allegedly attacked a 37-year-old man with a glass bottle at a local bar.
Police will allege the man suffered a laceration, along with swelling, bruising and injuries to his ribs as a result of the altercation.
He was taken to St Vincents Hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
Police attached to City Central Local Area Command attended the bar and launched an investigation.
Officers also established a crime scene at the location, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
A 27-year-old man was later arrested and taken to City Central Police Station.
He was charged with reckless wounding and granted conditional bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 27 August, 2013.
A 22-year-old man was also assisting police with inquiries, but was released without charge.
