Police are appealing for information following the armed robbery of a fast-food restaurant in Bexley last night.
About 9.50pm (Wednesday 31 July 2013), a man armed with a firearm entered the premise on Preddy’s Road.
He threatened staff with the weapon and demanded the cash registers be opened.
The man later fled the location with an amount of money; he was last seen running east on Preddy’s Road.
There were also four customers dining in the restaurant at the time, but no-one was injured.
Police were contacted and immediately attended the location establishing a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
Patrols of the area were also conducted, but the man was not located.
Detectives from St George Local Area Command are continuing investigations into the robbery and are looking for the man who has been described as being 180-185cm tall, with a medium build.
He was wearing a light-blue hooded jacket with white patches on the shoulders and a light-coloured motif on the left chest area, black gloves, black track-pants and white-coloured running shoes. His face was also covered with the hood of the jacket as well as a black balaclava.
