A man has been arrested after a robbery at a North Haven hotel last night.

Police were called to the hotel just after 10.30pm after a man allegedly threatened staff with a knife and demanded cash.

He stole a sum of money and fled on foot. The man was chased by hotel security, who detained the man until patrols arrived.

Western Adelaide CIB arrested and charged the 20-year-old North Haven man with aggravated robbery.

He was refused bail and will attend the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow.
