Police are investigating the robbery of a tavern at The Gap that occurred during the early hours of Thursday morning.
Around 12.30am two men, one armed with a firearm and the other a hammer, forced entry to the Glenquarie Place tavern.
Staff sought refuge in a secure room as the two men entered the gaming room, before fleeing on foot with a sum of cash.
The first man was wearing a black balaclava, red gloves, a black hooded jumper, jeans and joggers.
The second man was wearing a black balaclava, black gloves, a dark jumper with a second jumper wrapped around his head and black jeans.
The tavern was closed for trading at the time and no one was physically injured during the incident.
