Police appeal for witnesses after an armed robbery of a licensed premise in Lalor Park early this morning.

About 12.45am (Friday 16 August 2013), police were called to a licensed premise on Sackville Street, Lalor Park, after report of an armed robbery.

Officers have been told that three people with their faces concealed entered the hotel, one armed with a firearm and one armed with an axe, threatened staff and patrons.

They stole an amount of cash before fleeing in a white van.

Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

A crime scene has been established and was examined by forensic officers.

Detectives urge any witnesses to the incident or that may have seen the white van to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
