Two men will appear in court today charged with the aggravated robbery of an Elizabeth Vale supermarket last week.

Police will allege the pair, aged 20 and 22 from Elizabeth Vale, were armed with knives when they held up the IGA on John Rice Avenue at about 7.30pm on Thursday 29 August.  No one was injured during the robbery.

On Friday 30 August, Elizabeth CIB detectives arrested the two men and charged them with aggravated robbery.  They were refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.  Detectives also seized the alleged weapons and clothing used in the robbery.
