Police are investigating two robberies in Sydney overnight where a gun was produced.
In the first incident, about 11.10pm yesterday (Sunday 8 September 2013) police were called to a hotel on Robey Street in Mascot, after reports the premises had been held up by two men; one armed with a gun and the other a knife
The men made off with an amount of cash, and officers from Botany Bay Local Area Command attended a short time later and secured a crime scene.
In a separate incident, about 12.30am today (Monday 9 September 2013), officers were called after a brothel on King Street was held up at gunpoint by three men.
In this instance, the men took cash, as well as a woman’s handbag. No one was injured in either robbery and no shots were fired.
A similar description was provided to police for both incidents. The first man is described as being approximately 18 years of age, with a thin build, and was wearing a gold and brown baseball cap, beige pants and a blue jumper.
The second man is described as being Maori/Pacific Islander appearance, about 183cm tall, with a large build and was last seen wearing a light blue jumper.
The third man is described as being medium build, about 180 cm tall, wearing a dark blue hooded jumper. The second and third man kept their faces covered.

Police are investigating whether the two incidents are linked and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward
