Police from Bankstown Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding an armed robbery in Bass Hill overnight.

About 7pm, (Monday 9 September, 2013), a man approached the locked front glass door of a massage parlour on Cann Street.

The man, who was wearing a black hooded jumper and black jeans, produced a black handgun and threatened the 29-year-old female employee who was sitting behind the counter, yelling at her to open the door.

The employee ran out the back of the premises as the man kicked in the front door, grabbing the woman’s handbag containing her mobile phone, wallet and passport.

Another female employee, who was inside the premises at the time of the robbery, was not hurt.

The two women contacted police after the man left the location and an investigation is now underway.
